Anne-Marie is a qualified Early Years Teacher, obtaining her Post-Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) from the University of Cumbria where she specialised in Early Years Education. Anne-Marie has also been awarded Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) from Edgehill University, Ormskirk. She has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
Anne-Marie's other academic achievements include a Masters of Science (MSc) in Investigative Psychology (University of Liverpool) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA Hons) in Psychology (Queen’s University, Belfast).
Anne-Marie is passionate about outdoor learning and nature-based play. She believes that children are happier, healthier (physically, mentally and socially), and more successful as learners, if they have regular access to nature and the outdoors.
Anne-Marie is a mother of two young children and understands the pressures of modern day living and being working mum. In her spare time, she enjoys archery, fell walking, mountain biking and camping. She is a qualified Duke of Edinburgh Expedition Leader.
Anne-Marie's roles include Special Educational Needs Disabilities Coordinator (SENCO), Safeguarding Designated Officer, Fire Marshall and Wellcomm Speech and Language coordinator.
Lucy holds a BA (Hons) in Working with Children and Families: Child Young People and Family Studies, she has also been awarded Early Years Teacher Status from the University of Huddersfield. Lucy has worked within early years settings for the past 8 years.
Lucy is passionate about learning through play and allowing children to lead the way in their learning supported by practitioners. Lucy believes that sparking a child's interests and nurturing these interests is what motivates the curiosity in each individual child.
Lucy loves being a part of the children's journey at nursery, supporting them in achieving their next steps. She likes to think out of the box in providing new learning opportunities through provision and activities.
Lucy has a passion for the outdoors and feels that there are so many different ways children can learn from being outside. From noticing changes in weather, to observing different wildlife.
Lucy has just relocated back to the area from York, and is looking forward to going on walks with her partner in the Lake District and soaking up the views.

Heather holds a BA (hons) degree in Working with Children in Early Years. She has worked in Nursery/KS1 with children in both schools and Nursery settings for the last 8 years. She has also had experience of supporting children with different additional needs.
Heather is passionate about working with young children and finds supporting children’s learning and development very rewarding. She enjoys seeing children grow and develop their own unique personalities and loves being part of their journey of achievements and experiences.
Heather enjoys walking and exploring new places, spending time with her family and friends, reading and supporting her hometown football club with her dad, where she is a season ticket holder.
Eleanor holds a Level 3 Extended BTEC Diploma in Children's Play, Learning.
Eleanor has a passion for working with SEND children and has worked supporting families for many years. Eleanor has been working with children in a range of different settings including nurseries, schools and holiday clubs.
Eleanor has a love for the outdoors and physical activities. In her spare time she enjoys going on walks and is a keen horse.
Holly holds a Diploma in Health and Social Care (QCF) and a Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Children’s Play Learning and Development. She is continuing her studies in a Teaching and Learning Support Foundation Degree.
Holly has worked in Nurseries and Primary Schools supporting children with phonics, literacy and numeracy across all year groups.
Holly enjoys encouraging artistic activities in the outdoors to help encourage children to create a bond with nature.
Holly enjoys baking for family and friends. She likes walking, swimming and going on holiday with her family.
Emma holds an NVQ level 3 in children's care, learning and development and an NCFE CACHE Level 3 award in Supporting Teaching and Learning. She has worked within nursery settings for 15 years and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
Emma feels privileged to have the opportunity to support and watch children develop and grow, feeling proud of their individual achievements. She enjoys giving children opportunities to fulfil their full potential, to explore, learn through play and to build strong positive relationships.
Emma has two young children, a daughter, and a son, she enjoys spending time with her family, going on family days out, walking, camping, and skiing. Emma also loves animals and has many pets she enjoys taking care of and spending time with.
Kath holds an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Years Care and Education. She had worked with children throughout her career. Kath has worked in Primary Care as a Special Support Assistant. She has led a playgroup for several years. Kath has also worked for the Rainbow Trust for 18 years as a Family Support Worker, supporting families through difficult times and providing children of all ages with nurturing and compassionate care.
Kath particularly enjoys planning creative and artistic activities.
Kath enjoys playing with her grandchildren and travelling to experience different cultures.
Viki Donkin
Viki holds an NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning. She has worked in Primary Schools supporting the teacher in taking lessons and small groups. She moved to Preschool as a practitioner where she gained her Level 3 Diploma in Early Learning and Childcare working her way up to Manager gaining valuable experience.
Viki loves being part of children’s learning and development, seeing them grow throughout their nursery life from babies to Preschool.
Viki has three young children which keep her busy when she is not in Nursery. She enjoys having family days out, going on walks, visiting the theatre and camping.
Cath Woodhead
Cath holds an NVQ Level 3 in Specialist Support for Teaching and learning in School. She has worked with children in both Nursery and Primary School settings.
Cath feels privileged to work with children and enjoys supporting their learning and development and achievements each day.
Cath has two children, a teenage daughter and a younger son. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the theatre and concerts. She is currently leaning how to sail.
Devon Scott
Devon holds an NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care Learning and Development. She has worked with children for over 13 years in nursery settings.
Devon enjoys helping young children to develop sensory skills by providing opportunities to explore different textures, tastes and smells, through different activities such as water play, sand play, finger painting, sensory bags.
Devon enjoys walking in the Lake District, swimming, traveling to different countries and spending time with her family.
Jacqui Ramm
From 2011-2021, Jackie ran my her own business from home as a registered childminder.
Jacqui really enjoyed being a childminder and gained lots of experience in caring for children in their early years watching them learn and develop through play.
Jacqui is married with two teenage children and enjoys walking especially in the countryside, particularly the Lake District.
Jacqui enjoys being part of a team and regularly helps at Hope Church Playgroup and volunteers at The Olive Branch food bank on a weekly basis.
Shelly McQueen
Shelly holds a Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and a BSc Degree in Organisation and Management Studies.
Shelly has been employed within education and business. She has been a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, supporting children with autism in Reception classes to ensure that their emotional, physical and learning needs were met. For several years Shelly was a school volunteer and student, assisting with literacy and reading, phonics, numeracy, and providing curriculum support in several year groups. Shelly has worked in care as a support worker for adults in their homes, to ensure that they remain confident and independent.
Shelly has two teenage children. She enjoys being with her family, going to the theatre and walking in the Lake District.
